LVIV NATIONAL PHILHARMONIC SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
The Lviv National Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, named after Myroslaw Skoryk, is one of the oldest and most important Ukrainian orchestras. Founded on September 27, 1902, the orchestra has worked with Richard Strauss, Gustav Mahler, Ruggero Leoncavallo, Mieczyslaw Karłowicz, Reinhold Glière, Yevhen Mravinsky, Nicolae Popescu, Kurt Masur and many other famous conductors in its history. The orchestra regularly takes part in international festivals and has toured successfully in many countries, including Poland, Italy, Spain, France, Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands and China. Most recently, the orchestra undertook a major tour of the United States of America from January to March 2023, including a sold-out concert at the famous Carnegie Hall in New York. The 2023 Grand Tour of Germany was successfully concluded with a gala concert in the Great Hall of the Berlin Philharmonie and was well received not only by experts, but also by the German audience, who demonstrated the orchestra’s high level of professionalism and amazing sound.
