Bogdana Pivnenko is a famous Ukrainian violinist who has been described by music critics as a “Paganini in rock”. She is the Head of National Ensemble of soloists KYIV NATIONAL KAMERATA ORCHESTRA, a member of its Academic Council Professor at the Kyiv Lysenko State Music Lyceum, Kyiv National Music Academy, Kharkiv National University of Ars, a Member of Ukrainian Culture Foundation’s Supervisory Board.

She has performed as a soloist with leading Ukrainian orchestras and presented Ukrainian music around the world, including Berliner Philharmonie, Weill Hall Carnegie Hall, Palau de la Musica Catalana, Berliner Festspiele MaerzMusik, Europaisches Klassik Festival, ‘Kyiv Music Fest’, The Warsaw Autumn, ‘Nostalgia’, Malta Festival.
Bogdana Pivnenko regularly participates in premiere performances of works by contemporary Ukrainian composers. She presented the author’s program of Valentin Silvetrov’s ‘Melodies of Moments’ together with the composer.
Her recordings include Anthology of Contemporary Ukrainian Music, 11 CDs of music by Ukrainian composer M.Skoryk, V.Silvestrov, E.Stankovych, V.Zubytsky, Z.Almashi, I.Shcherbakov, O.Levkovych.
Most recently, her Ukrainian Quintet, featuring music by Lyatoshynsky, Silvestrov and Poleva, was released by Naxos in 2020.
She has worked with conductors, such as Antony Inglis, Juozas Domarkas, Vladimir Sirenko, Saulius Sondeckis, Oksana Lyniv Volodymyr Shejko, Theodore Kuchar, Natalya Ponomarchuk, Erki Pehk, Liutauras Balciunas and others.
