As part of the East Opera concert tour «The European Way», The Kharkiv National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater presents the inspiring and excellent Show ballet program «Christmas Strauss».
It was mainly built after Johann Strauss-Sohn`s works «The King of the Waltz».
His waltzes and gallops, marches and polkas, arias from operettas are little brilliant masterpieces. At the concert program, these brilliant masterpieces appear lined up like a precious necklace. Each pearl has its own secret, its own unique story. And when you consider that not only orchestras and soloists, but also choirs and even ballet will be taking part in this program, then it is obvious that an absolutely magical spectacle awaits you!
The sophisticated choreographic evening will be devoted to two works: «Walpurgis night» to the music of S. Gounod and «Carmina Burana» to the music of K. Orff.

The European-Ukrainian show program OPERA GALA is designed so that the audience has the opportunity to hear real “pearls” of opera, vocal and instrumental music in one evening and in one place. Conventionally, it will be three blocks: Ukrainian academic music – from Mykola Lysenko to Myroslav Skoryk, world classics – the best airies and sings from world known Operas from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart to Charles Gounod and Giacomo Puccini etc.
The ballet of the Kharkiv Theater is one of the best ballet companies in Europe and has a powerful traditional ballet school. Concerts with the participation of ballet dancers of the famous theater are always sold out and are always emotions that inspire new meetings with the team.
It is enough to mention that for the first time in the world, in 2019, it was staged premiere of the world-famous ballet by P. Tchaikovsky “Swan Lake” on the water, and in 2020, the premiere of the show took place – the ballet “Spartacus” by A. Khachaturian, in which 150 men took part.
The bright program of the Gala Ballet promises the audience many discoveries and vivid impressions from meeting young, talented performers of the theater’s ballet troupe.
The numbers that will be presented in the program are the best choreographic numbers from world-famous classical and modern ballets accompanied by the symphony orchestra of the theater.

At the brilliant show “MY WAY” world-famous musical characters will meet on one stage, performing in non-stop mode, the best songs, ensembles, choirs, and dance numbers of these plays.
The ballet dancers, the choir, and the soloist-vocalists of the CXID OPERA are taking on the roles of the images of these famous characters.
A unique medley score, where various and different genres of musicals are intertwined, a bright director’s decision, distinctive stage decorations, and an organic choreographic work – all of these can be seen in the performance “MY WAY”!
